This six-part series is for Western
practitioners or individuals who have an equivalent fundamental
understanding of Herbalism. The course is structured to integrate the
wisdom of Ayurveda, Chinese, and Western traditional healing systems.
Techniques of diagnosis from around the world will
be studied and integrated into a grounded and practical working model.
The student will acquire necessary assessment skills using tongue and
pulse diagnosis, and reading various signs of the body. The student
will learn how to perform effective intakes and counseling skills. For
anyone already practicing in the health field, this program provides a
holistic lifestyle counseling methodology for today's health care
management.

- Understanding the constitution types
- The seven tissues of the body
- The six stages of disease manifestation
- Herb identification and herbal applications
- Advanced herbal formulations for acute and
chronic conditions
- Introduction to tongue diagnosis
- Client assessment skills
- High Sierra Herb Walk for plant identification
- Herbs for women
- Herbs for children
- Herbal apothecary
Tongue and pulse examples will be part of some of the classes during the six-month program. Students will learn how to
examine clients in their wholeness rather then chasing symptoms.
This program is for experienced students who already have a basic
understanding of herbalism or have taken the Beginning program. You are awarded a
certificate of completion after completing the program.
